Roll Mechanic

Staffmark is partnering with a family-oriented, safety-focused company to find a skilled Roll Mechanic. If you have the experience we want to hear from you!

Pay: $17/hr - $25/hr (based on experience)

Shifts Available:

• 6 AM - 2 PM
• 2 PM - 10 PM
• 10 PM - 5 AM

Responsibilities:

• Set up, disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble paper machine rolls of various sizes.
• Ensure repairs meet quality standards, with a focus on efficiency and safety.
• Demonstrate expertise in mechanical assemblies and roll types.
• Operate overhead cranes and other equipment for lifting and moving heavy loads.
• Follow protocols for large equipment maintenance and ensure all tasks are completed to high standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in roll repair or mechanical maintenance
• Proficiency with mechanical tools, including drills, presses, bearing heaters, and pullers
• Experience operating a 25-ton overhead crane, forklift, hand trucks, and other equipment
• High school diploma preferred but not required (experience may substitute)
• Experience with spreader (bowd) roll repairs or paper mill roll repair is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
