Overview

The Field Reimbursement Specialist (FRS) will collaborate with the client internal stakeholders, HCPs, HCP Offices, on reimbursement, access, and coverage issues. They will educate HCPs and their staff on matters related to access and coverage to facilitate appropriate patient access. They will coordinate with the Hub concerning individual patient cases including patient support services referrals to enrollment, re-authorizations and overall coordination. The FRS will need to collaborate cross functionally with Field Sales as well as other matrix partners and Specialty Pharmacy Accounts while abiding by all corporate and industry policy and procedures.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Analyze payer criteria
  • Provide offices product access expertise
  • Support patient access to the products by providing subject matter expertise on access issues that may be barriers to product access in a manner that complies with policies, processes, and standard operating procedures
  • Educate HCPs and their practice personnel on the products Hub program including reimbursement, financial assistance and Hub tools (e.g. provider portal tool, copay tracking, forms)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of, communicate information about resources, and forms available for access and reimbursement
  • Coordinate on reimbursement issues with third parties including Hubs
  • Liaise with Specialty Pharmacy for pharmacy benefit products
  • Demonstrate strong verbal communication skills and issue prioritization related to account management

Job Requirements

Along with a results-oriented, patient focused mindset and an engaging manner, the ideal candidate has:

  • BS/BA Degree required
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience
  • Buy & Bill/Reimbursement product experience required
  • Specialty Pharmacy & Rare Disease experience preferred
  • Knowledge of commercial payers coverage and medical policy criteria
  • Exhibit competent understanding of Hub activities
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel, including overnights and/or weekends
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $125,000 to $135,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include a company car or car allowance and eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
