Job Overview:

The LMS Coordinator is responsible for the daily oversight of the learning management system of the RWJBarnabas Health Mobile Health Training Center. The LMS specialist is wholly responsible for activities directly related to the learning management software Moodle. This can include class creation, class restructuring, user creation and maintenance, technical support, student assignment, and testing management. The LMS specialist will report directly to the Administrative Manager. The LMS specialist models the expected behaviors and engages staff with professionalism, courtesy and respect and supports the daily operations of education programs within the Training Center.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • At least one year working with and administering an integrated learning and talent management system required (such as NetDimensions, HealthStream, PeopleFluent, Moodle, Cornerstone, Lessonly, Sumtotal, Canvas, Articulate Online, Adobe Captivate Prime, SilkRoad, Taleo, SkillSoft)

Preferred:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
  • Prior experience working with training, instructional design, curriculum design, adult learning principles and measurement strategies as part of an organization

Essential Functions:

  • Consistently demonstrate and support Mobile Health s mission, vision, core values and department service standards.
  • Provide oversight to assure program content and instructional programs comply with standards and guidelines set forth in the RWJ Barnabas Health program curriculum.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to organizational and departmental safety guidelines and procedures. Identify opportunities to improve safety and a healthy work environment.
  • Provides overall management of the LMS system
  • Ensure all student education modules follow State regulations, the National Standard Curriculum and established departmental policy.
  • Create and maintain program lessons, as defined by the U.S. Department of Transportation EMT National Standard Curriculum, and as set forth in lesson plans provided by RWJ Barnabas Health.
  • Attends all mandatory department workshops / meetings relating to the implementation / changes to course content
  • Participates in continuing professional development programs as appropriate.
  • Serves as student / faculty liaison.
  • Performs quality assurance at the end of each EMT CEU course within the LMS
  • Creates LMS content for multiple programs including EMT, Paramedic, Clinical and departmental offerings.
  • Maintains the Mobile Health organizational structure within the LMS.
  • Assists with user creation and assignment.
  • Provide customer support within the LMS.
  • Provides assistance with reporting and statistical analysis from the LMS.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the department manager.
