Responsibilities

In your job, you will have the ability to make a difference in a patient's journey by:

  • Oversee the daily activities of the business office including patient billing, collections, reimbursement, and computer operations.
  • Oversee daily activities of the front office including scheduling, reception, and insurance authorization/verification.
  • Implement reimbursement policies and procedures and assists with policy development as appropriate.
  • Ensure all business office activities are conducted to maximize reimbursement and efficiency in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Direct the preparation of monthly reimbursement and financial reports for the business office.
  • Coordinate office procedures between the front office, business office and clinic to ensure smooth information flow and communication.
  • Implement systems (both manual and computerized) to support office activities based upon business need.
  • Ensure adherence to company Human Resources policy.
  • Recruit, hire, and train all business, front office, and support staff.
  • Recommend merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Provide assistance and coverage for business and front office functions as needed.
  • Oversee daily administrative and office management activities including procurement and storage of office supplies, facilities management, office machines and equipment maintenance.
  • Work with vendors and suppliers as needed.
  • Maintain storage of all medical records and office files.
  • Plan and allocate office space and resources.
  • Ensure compliance to company structure, mission statement and policies and procedures, as well as all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations directing the oversight of medical office procedures.
  • Directly supervise all non- clinical office staff including business office, front office and administrative support personnel.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred minimum seven years of medical office management experience.

  • Knowledge of managing employees.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Any relevant experience which demonstrates the minimum knowledge and skills may be substituted for education.
