*Description*
The Patient Account Specialist (Early-Out) provides customer service and collection services to Early-Out clients, patients, and guarantors. This role involves reviewing, following up, and resolving patient account balances while adhering to client policies and procedures. The specialist must have a thorough understanding of FDCPA, FCRA, and HIPAA regulations. * Review and Evaluate Accounts: Assess assigned account files for appropriate collection actions. * Manage Workflows: Optimize time and workflows to maximize recoveries and ensure satisfaction. * Negotiate Payment Plans: Work with patients, guarantors, insurance companies, and third parties to arrange and monitor payment plans. * Process Payments: Prepare and process patient payments using client systems. * Research Insurance Eligibility: Verify debtor insurance eligibility and perform skip tracing as necessary. * Obtain Documentation: Gather necessary documentation for accounts considered for insurance filing or litigation. * Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as required or directed. *Qualifications:* * Experience with Meditech (EMR System) preferred * Ability to handle high-call volume environment; 100+ calls/day * Insurance verification experience (Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Payers) * Medical Collections experience preferred *Hours:* Monday-Thursday, 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-4:30pm *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
