Senior Cybersecurity Engineer Category: Cybersecurity Employment Type: Direct Hire Reference: 15886-44832282 Title: Senior Cybersecurity Engineer Compensation: $131,000 - 140,000/year (depending on experience level) Type: Full Time Industry: Security Location: Dallas or Tampa Summary: We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess 6+ years of relevant work experience and have strong expertise in implementing, configuring, and supporting scalable, automated security technologies. Responsibilities: Provide advanced support for tactical and strategic issues related to multi-domain security technologies. Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare new technologies and functionalities for production implementation, including security playbooks, requirements gathering, process improvements, and cybersecurity technology implementations. Work closely with teams to identify automation opportunities, reducing manual tasks and enhancing AI/ML capabilities across the technology stack. Implement the latest versions and patches for assigned cybersecurity technologies, while seeking to improve coverage by utilizing new features. As a subject matter expert, support the development and delivery of the overall strategy, providing technical leadership. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. At least 6 years of related experience. Extensive experience in cybersecurity, with expertise in container security. Proficiency in container technologies such as Docker, Podman, and OpenShift. Experience with Kubernetes security, CNAPP tools, CI/CD security policies, and GitOps/Infrastructure as Code. Proven experience with CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Git and Jenkins). Knowledge of microservices and Docker containerization. Thorough understanding of container technologies, security best practices, and related risks. Familiarity with industry-leading container security tools. Experience in AWS cloud security is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including executive communication to senior leadership. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a high level of flexibility, professionalism, and integrity. Preferred certifications: CISSP, CCSP, Cloud certifications.
