What you will do

You will be responsible for ensuring an efficient and accurate flow of materials between the offsite warehouse and manufacturing facility as well as directly to the production line. This will include supervision of teams located in both facilities across two shifts with a focus on inventory accuracy and timely availability of parts for production.

How you will do it

  • Oversight of receiving process, ensuring verification of incoming material, timely and accurate receipt of purchase orders, visual inspection for quantity and condition of incoming product and strong collaboration with Purchasing department.

  • Manage cycle count activities with daily review and reporting of results. Work with team to recount, periodic physical auditing for accuracy, root cause analysis for inaccuracies as well as corrective actions, and inventory transactions within ERP system to rectify discrepancies.

  • Coordinate material picking and staging as well as transfer to production location multiple times per day, monitoring and communicating shortages. Drive continuous improvement in material flow.

  • Maintain a safe and organized inventory environment that focuses on personal safety and minimizing any component damage

  • Collaborative approach to identifying overstock, excess and obsolete inventory with the goal of keeping inventory value at or below corporate targets.

  • Weekly reporting of key metrics related to inventory value, cycle count accuracy, and DIOH.

  • Coordination of annual physical inventory.

What we look for

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or four (4) to six (6) years' experience in Inventory Control and Warehousing within a manufacturing environment

  • Prior experience leading a team and ensuring collaboration

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization

  • Proven communication skills

Preferred:

  • Experience in AS400

  • Experience in Power BI or Lean DNA
