You will be part of a collaborative environment focused on developing and enhancing cutting-edge systems. In this role, you will interact with customers to ensure their EMI and EMC standards are met, work with internal development teams addressing EMC related concerns, lead a team on location, and work with 3rd party agencies on compliance and testing programs. Leadership skills and the ability to guide a team of technicians are essential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with customers to review and ensure compliance with EMI and EMC standards.
- Collaborate with internal design teams fielding questions relating to EMI/EMC at board and system level.
- Lead a team on location to execute compliance methods and testing programs.
- Review mechanical housings for EMC compliance.
- Develop, manage, and perform EMI/EMC test data analysis to assist in root cause identification and corrective actions.
- Communicate periodic status updates and known risks, along with proposed solutions, on projects.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Multiple years as an Electrical Engineer, Compliance Engineer, EMI Engineer, EMC Engineer, or related title preferred.
- Multiple years of developing electronics to meet EMI/EMC standards preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) theory, signal integrity, and power quality.
- Expert skills in using Spectrum Analyzers, EMI receivers, signal generators, RF power meters, RF amplifiers, antennas, etc.
- Proven success in troubleshooting EMI/EMC issues in a lab environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of Integrated Circuit level EMI/EMC specifications and methods.
- Knowledge in global EMC standards including FCC Part 15, ICES-003, CISPR 32/35 and EU EMC Directive.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related.
