Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a Sr. Developer with 8 to 12 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Spark in Scala Delta Sharing Databricks Unity Catalog Admin Databricks CLI Delta Live Pipelines Structured Streaming Risk Management Apache Airflow Amazon S3 Amazon Redshift Python Databricks SQL Databricks Delta Lake Databricks Workflows and PySpark. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Spark in Scala and PySpark to ensure efficient data processing and transformation.
  • Implement and manage Delta Sharing and Databricks Unity Catalog Admin to ensure secure and efficient data sharing and cataloging.
  • Utilize Databricks CLI and Delta Live Pipelines to automate data workflows and ensure seamless data integration.
  • Design and implement Structured Streaming solutions to handle real-time data processing and analytics.
  • Apply Risk Management techniques to identify assess and mitigate potential risks in data workflows and processes.
  • Leverage Apache Airflow to orchestrate complex data workflows and ensure timely execution of data tasks.
  • Utilize Amazon S3 and Amazon Redshift for efficient data storage and retrieval ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate data processing tasks and enhance data workflows.
  • Utilize Databricks SQL to perform complex data queries and generate actionable insights.
  • Implement Databricks Delta Lake to ensure data reliability consistency and performance.
  • Manage Databricks Workflows to ensure efficient execution of data tasks and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members ensuring best practices are followed.

Qualifications

  • Possess strong expertise in Spark in Scala and PySpark for efficient data processing and transformation.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Delta Sharing and Databricks Unity Catalog Admin for secure data sharing and cataloging.
  • Have experience with Databricks CLI and Delta Live Pipelines for automating data workflows.
  • Show expertise in Structured Streaming for real-time data processing.
  • Apply Risk Management techniques to mitigate potential risks in data workflows.
  • Utilize Apache Airflow for orchestrating complex data workflows.
  • Have experience with Amazon S3 and Amazon Redshift for data storage and retrieval.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Python for automating data processing tasks.
  • Utilize Databricks SQL for complex data queries and insights generation.
  • Implement Databricks Delta Lake for data reliability and performance.
  • Manage Databricks Workflows for efficient data task execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to ensure best practices are followed.

The annual salary for this position is between $[90,000 - 105,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
