Inventory Coordinator

In this role, you will report to the Supervisor, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel - and our customers - to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Lexington, MA

Shift:Mon - Fri, ~7:30 am - 4 pm

Wage: $26-28 per hour DOE

What we're looking for:

• High School diploma or GED required.

• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.

• 1+ years of inventory management or lab experience.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Computer & scanner literacy including Excel. SAP knowledge a plus.

• Outstanding communication skills with stakeholders in a professional office environment.

• Able to prioritize, change direction, problem-solve, and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.

• Customer service focus with a can-do demeanor and ability to work independently.

• Exceptionally high level of commitment to service to the customer.

Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:

Daily Tasks

• Daily travel between local service sites in the region (1 mile radius) transferring daily deliveries from various couriers into stock rooms across two sites daily.

• Support the day to day running of the onsite stock areas and inventory management services.

• Inventory counts using a scanner, ordering, and receiving of products. As well as acting and reporting on inventory deviations.

• Key point of contact for customer to handle problems and changes with inventory.

• Prepares inventory reports by collecting and analyzing stock usage.

• Maintain inventory operations by following policies and procedures and reporting changes.

• Receive, replenishment, and distribution of inventory to meet end user demands, utilizing industry-leading inventory management technology to track usage and continually optimize stock levels.

• Ensure that orders are issued from the inventory management system and the accuracy of the data (location, quantity, value, etc.) in the inventory management system.

• Carry out regular stock checks of inventory.

• Always maintain safe access for deliveries of goods and equipment on site.

• Work collaboratively with suppliers and vendors to ensure smooth order progression.

Weekly, Bi-weekly, and as Needed Tasks

• Report on KPIs, metrics, SLAs and weekly tasks.

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Keeping up to date with customer expectations.

• Regular reviews with customers to ensure right products are stocked.

• Create/improve procedures and reporting for the effective management of inventory, demonstrating cost savings.

• Trouble-shooting inventory management system problems as needed.

• Other duties as assigned.
