Sales Engineering Support ajc Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. 1. Create concept tooling drawing utilizing, customer supplied mold and or part drawings, vendor Products and custom machined / designed components. 2. Works from rough sketches, schematics, and verbal instructions. Supports company design standards. This position will require the ability to apply standard drafting techniques and knowledge of practical and fabrication problems. 3. Use Inventor, Auto-Cad, Solid Works and sketches to create accurate drawings within the required timeframe. 4. Organizes / maintains and updates project folders and drawings. Reviews own drawings for quality and accuracy. 5. Quality control or sign off of assembled tooling checking: function, leaks, wiring, clearance, and overall function of the tool. 6. Obtains quotes and determines suppliers. Enter data and send purchase orders to suppliers. Contacts suppliers by mail, phone, email, or visit to verify shipment of goods on specified date. 7. Arranges for distribution of materials upon arrival. 8. Pull product, organize machined and purchased components 9. Assemble, tube and wire using basic hand tools 10. Modify / fit any component that requires, document when needed 11. Affix cable ties, terminal strips, and manifold where required 12. Adjust assembled tooling to customer's sample 13. Document (Photograph) and fill out test sheet 14. Completes special projects 15. Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required. Page 2 of 2 Education and/or Experience * Requires an associate degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience * Preferred experience with SolidWorks * Basic hand tool knowledge needed: wrenches, screwdrivers, drill, tap * Electronics: Basic Series/ parallel DC circuit construction, soldering, point to point wiring * Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and computer skills * Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment required |
