The Pricing Product Manager leads strategic pricing products with enterprise impact. Acts as a trusted advisor and strategic partnership to Optum leadership. Responsible for the pricing product management strategy, execution/delivery methodology, and realizing business benefits across the Industry and Network Relations Portfolio. The role will be accountable for creating/evolving and executing strategic pricing product improvements and enhancements, visibility into operational execution, and oversee the needed analytics to drive improved results for our clients and consumers.

The position can be a telecommuter position, but flexibility in location exists for the stellar candidate who is willing to travel approximately 25% of the time.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Provide strategic guidance for new pricing strategies that impact not only Industry and Network Relations, but the broader Optum organization
  • Lead cross-functional teams of SMEs in the development, management, and improvement of highly complex pricing products and strategies
  • Responsible to operationalize enterprise-level strategies
  • Responsible for presenting products and strategies to consultants, current clients, and prospects
  • Develop and execute business cases of systems and process enhancements needed for new pricing strategies and/or pricing strategy improvements
  • Accomplish work through others
  • Present and report out to leadership in a meaningful way
  • Direct cross-functional teams and foster relationships with matrix stakeholders to ensure commitment and support to solve complex business opportunities
  • Translate highly complex concepts to be understood by a variety of audiences
  • Work closely with the company's executive leaders to identify new pricing opportunities and provide a strategic road map of programs for implementation across the organization
  • Innovative thinking within process and system design
  • Collaborate with cross-organizational partners and influence change across OptumRx teams
  • Analyze and strategize on solutions within a competitive landscape

Required Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of direct (Non-Technical) product management and/or product development experience
  • 2+ years of project management experience, including multi-phase, large-scale change projects
  • Experience developing effective partnerships and networks and collaborating/influencing broadly at multiple levels in the organization
  • Experience developing enterprise-level strategies
  • Experience navigating thru ambiguity and complex topics
  • Experience in problem-solving and systems-thinking abilities
  • Solid strategic thinking and planning skills, combined with experience creating and executing corresponding operational plans



Preferred Qualifications:



  • 1+ years of pricing experience (PBM, healthcare pricing etc.)
  • Consulting and/or auditing experience
  • Experience in financial analysis
  • PBM experience
  • Healthcare experience

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
