We are looking for a Float - Per diem, Certified Wound and Ostomy Nurse (CWON) for our Upland Clinic. The CWON will provide expert-level nursing care with a specialty focus on wound care, skin integrity, and ostomy management across the organization. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership in education, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This float, per diem position requires 2 days a week, Monday and Friday. You will float at least 1x a month to our Corona office. Pay rate: 78.524/HR + milage when traveling to Corona office.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Deliver direct patient care, including assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized wound, skin, and ostomy treatment plans.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in wound and ostomy care, supporting bedside nurses through just-in-time coaching, in-services, and formal continuing education.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote best practices in skin and wound management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in the development of policies and protocols related to skin, wound, and ostomy care.
  • Contribute to the evaluation, selection, and implementation of wound and ostomy care products and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Hours: 830am - 5pm

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in nursing is required.
  • Current California RN license.
  • Minimum of three - five years related experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Card through American Heart Association
  • Must be certified in Wound/Ostomy Care Nursing; acceptable certifications are: CWON, CWOCN-APP, or WCC
