Job Summary
Reporting to the Education Program Manager, the Education Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Medical Assistant (MA) float pool, MA intern and extern student clinical rotation programs, and orientation and onboarding of new hire float pool MAs. Enters, monitors and maintains schedules, practice requests and Kronos for designated employees. Assists practices with MA clinical competencies, concerns and remediation. Participates in recruitment activities, all hiring activities and evaluations, and other clinical competency programs for the Beaumont Medical Group (BMG).
Essential Functions
  • Scheduling, payroll, hiring, training and evaluating performance as needed.
  • Performs duties related to new hire skills validation including ordering/inventory of all supplies, room scheduling, required paperwork, computer-based training, and competency mandatory requirements.
  • Ongoing communication with practice managers and school liaisons for student schedules, progress, and evaluation.
  • Participate in school partnerships including job fairs, advisory board meetings and student recruitment sessions.
  • Oversees Skill Validation course and in house BLS (AHA) course.
  • Provide clinical education support, when applicable within clinical skill validation and at the practice to assist as needed.
  • Assists with special BMG projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Required High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years of relevant experience experience as a Medical Assistant. Required
  • CRT-Medical Assistant, Registered (RMA) - AMT American Medical Technologists Upon Hire required
  • CRT-At least one Certification from preferred list - UNKNOWN Unknown Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association preferred Or
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross preferred
