In the role of GIS Analyst, we'll count on you to:

Duties include working in a professional environment with a team of engineers, environmental scientists and planners. Successful candidates will be able to develop database schemas and analysis methods needed to support project goals and efficiently use web resources to research and problem solve. Our projects include geospatial solutions for desktop, web, and mobile.

Primary Responsibilities



  • Independently conduct advanced spatial analyses using ArcGIS software from Esri and work with project managers and clients to design and effectively employ GIS on a variety of infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro Desktop editing tools, map and layout functions.
  • Experience working with vector and raster data performing spatial analysis using geoprocessing tools, Spatial ModelBuilder, Python or other GIS scripting languages.
  • Develop geodatabase schemas and analysis methods needed to support project goals.
  • Develop and support web GIS applications using Esri Experience Builder, Web App Builder, Story Maps, Field Maps and Survey 123 within ArcGIS Online platform.
  • Create maps, databases and other deliverables on short notice.
  • Perform quality control checks.
  • Perform other duties as needed.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelors in Geography, Planning, Data Sciences or relevant field.
  • A minimum of 1 years practical GIS experience, 3 years experience would be preferred.
  • Experience with Esri Desktop ArcGIS Pro software, scripting and extensions (ModelBuilder, Python, Spatial Analyst, 3d Analyst, Linear Referencing, etc.)
  • Experience in map generation and data visualization.
  • Experience with ArcGIS Online platform and associated products such as Experience Builder, Story Maps, Field Maps and Survey 123.
  • Expertise with developing Geodatabases and schemas (domains, subtypes).
  • Local candidates preferred

Required Qualifications
  • Associates degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Science or closely related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • Practical experience with editing, database development, and map production in ArcGIS
  • Experienced with Microsoft 365 Apps
  • Requires attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work with a team
  • Good written and oral communication skills a plus
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
