Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals and will become part of Peraton's First Responders Solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming Peraton's First Responders organization into a well-functioning product development, operational and delivery shop. You will provide coaching and guidance daily to ensure the team members understand the adopted methodologies and adhere to the best practices. You will work very closely with the team members to monitor the progress and adherence.

This position can be worked remotely but some travel will be required.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

    Serves as the primary interface and point of contact with customer and internal program authorities and representatives on technical and program/project issues.
  • Directs the performance of a variety of related projects, which may be organized by technology, program or client.
  • Responsible for the successful technical, schedule, and cost performance of a major program, or multiple programs, through subordinate program/project managers, in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Assign staff and provide technical direction as necessary to complete tasks.
  • Monitor contract, subcontract, and funding; prepare forecasts of program financial performance.
  • Responsible for meeting project schedule timelines and performance objectives; conducting requirements reviews and information analysis, as well as producing cost-benefit analysis.
  • Must assist clients in achieving all stated objectives and for ensuring quality and accuracy of deliverables.
  • Coordinates the work efforts of multiple projects surrounding a common program objective to ensure timely problem resolution and total customer satisfaction.
  • Ensures compliance with client specific project management lifecycle processes, including managing project governance, engineering technical reviews, and project artifacts.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience or Masters degree and 10 years experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management, Enterprise Planning / Systems Integration, organizational/transformation efforts, and standing up of new programs.
  • 10 years of experience in project development from inception to deployment.
  • Expertise in the management and control of funds and resources using complex reporting mechanisms.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing multi-task contracts and/or subcontracts of various types and complexity.
  • Previous technical, schedule, and cost performance of a major program, or multiple programs, through subordinate program/project managers experience.
  • Contract Management Certificate required.
  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or the ability to obtain within one year.
  • Hands-on experience supporting complex programs and supporting program management offices.
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be able to grasp inter-relationships between system management requirements and automated business solutions, considering the current system environment and the potential integration of added systems concurrently or later.
  • Ability to read and interpret policy, regulations, and directives, and to apply those interpretations as directed by the Product Line Manager.
  • Ability to provide executive level coaching to support personnel.

  • PMP Certification
  • ITIL Foundations Certification
  • Scrum Master Certification

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
