Lipscomb Academy Athletics is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and dedicated individual to serve as our Athletics Operations Coordinator. Position Overview: The Athletics Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all athletic events, including game set-up, tear down, concession management, facility preparation, and event coordination. This role requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Game Set-Up & Tear Down:
- Oversee the preparation and dismantling of all game-related equipment (e.g., goals, nets, scoreboards, field markings).
- Ensure that all areas are properly prepared and cleared for post-game events.
- Collaborate with coaching staff and volunteers to ensure efficient transitions between events.
Concession Stand Management:
- Order food and supplies in advance to ensure concessions are stocked and ready for each game.
- Stock and organize concession stand prior to events, ensuring everything is properly labeled and accessible.
- Monitor inventory levels, re-order supplies as needed, and maintain an organized storage area.
- Supervise or assist with concession stand operations during games, ensuring the stand is fully stocked and serving food in a timely manner.
Facility Preparation:
- Prepare athletic facilities (fields, gymnasiums, courts) for games and events, including setting up seating, signage, and any other necessary equipment.
- Ensure that all safety protocols and regulations are met.
- Perform minor maintenance or coordinate with maintenance staff to address facility issues.
Game Coverage & Event Operations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for game-day operations, ensuring that all logistics are handled smoothly.
- Coordinate with referees, coaches, and volunteers to ensure events run on time.
- Monitor and resolve any issues that arise during games, including emergencies or last-minute adjustments.
Food Truck Event Management:
- Coordinate food truck events for athletic programs, ensuring trucks are booked and scheduled properly.
- Oversee the logistics of food truck locations and availability during events.
- Communicate with food truck vendors to ensure compliance with event policies and health regulations.
- Manage the event schedule and ensure a positive experience for both vendors and attendees.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a background in sports management, event planning, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in event coordination, facilities management, or concessions is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders, including coaches, vendors, and volunteers.
- Ability to lift and move athletic equipment, as well as perform manual labor tasks as needed.
- Flexible and able to work evenings and weekends as required by the athletic schedule.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and in all weather conditions during athletic events.
