The Role
As a Training Content Developer, you will create and customize training documentation that empowers client users to effectively leverage ServiceNow. Collaborating with subject matter experts, you will develop helpful and engaging training content, ranging from quick reference guides and job aids to user guides and technical documentation. Your expertise will help drive projects to successful completion, ensuring that clients maximize the benefits of their ServiceNow implementations.

Travel Requirements:

This role will be remote within the Continental US with 5% anticipated travel.

Responsibilities include:



  • Customize training documentation by leveraging existing templates and content.
  • Interview SMEs, then work through a process (hands-on) to document it for fulfillers and end-users.
  • Customize or create new training documents, diagrams/flowcharts, and help content, including procedural written instructions with screen captures.


Required Skills and Professional Experience



  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent work experience and/or military experience
  • Technical writing or end-user documentation experience, software or technology documentation is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the ServiceNow platform or similar SaaS/B2B product (like Jira, ZenDesk, Salesforce, etc.).
  • Data gathering via interviewing SMEs and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to proofread your own work for grammar, punctuation, and other issues.
  • Experience with client technical support, process documentation, and/or requirements gathering.
  • Curious and motivated, able to pick up new ideas and processes quickly.
  • Able to work on multiple deliverables or projects simultaneously, managing time spent and deadlines for each.


Preferred Skills and Experience:



  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or other ServiceNow certification(s)
  • Able to understand and modify HTML (beginner to intermediate level)
  • Experience with diagram/flowchart tools such as Visio, Draw.IO/Diagrams.net, or LucidChart
  • Portfolio containing at least 2-3 pieces that demonstrate writing/documentation experience
