Job Title: Reservations Specialist
Job Description This role involves taking inbound calls from travel advisors and ensuring the highest level of customer service. The primary responsibility is selling the company's products to travel agencies, including room and package upgrades. The position also includes providing telephone customer support services. Responsibilities * Exceed travel partner expectations through the completion of all reservation and sales-related processes. * Handle inbound sales lead calls and convert them into sales. * Emphasize salable features, quote prices, and payment terms. * Accurately take payments. * Make outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers via telephone and email to qualify leads and sell products and services. * Answer questions and recommend corrective services to address customer complaints. * Overcome technical and business objections of prospective customers. * Build and maintain customer relationships. * Oversee quality control of bookings to maintain the integrity of the product. * Handle high call volume, navigate system software, and utilize Outlook. * Book cruises, generate invoices, and follow up with travel agents and/or direct guests. * Develop and nurture relationships with travel agencies and/or direct clients. * Update and maintain the reservation database, verify client information, and make necessary corrections to new and existing bookings. * Request air quotes through the in-house Air department. * Quote prices and payment terms. * Perform other related duties as assigned by management. Essential Skills * At least three years of sales and/or customer service experience or a combination of both. * Customer service experience. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Software, Spreadsheet Software, Word Processing Software, Electronic Mail Software, Presentation Software, Reservation Software, and Phone Software. * Excellent organizational, leadership, interpersonal communication, and computer skills. * Clear and conceptual thinking ability. * Excellent judgment and discretion. * Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and manage work-related stress. * Friendly, courteous, service-oriented, professional, outgoing, and customer service oriented. * Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations. * Detail-oriented and works effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines. * Ability to work independently and productively with minimal supervision. * Problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve routine problems. Additional Skills & Qualifications * High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * Travel experience is heavily preferred, especially for remote workers. * Must pass assessment with a score of 70 or higher. * Mandatory assessment includes various tests such as communication skills, workplace behavior, computer and internet skills, and Excel proficiency. Initial training includes a five-week program, starting from home and transitioning to remote work, followed by a three-week nesting period, and then a standard 8-hour shift. New hires will work from 9 am to 6 pm PST and one Saturday per month, with a day off during the week when working Saturday. During Wave season (January - April), the workweek extends to six days with adjusted hours. The offices are newly renovated with individual, high-walled cubicles, fostering a strong company culture. California candidates will work in-office with one day remote post-training, while out-of-state candidates will work 100% remote with equipment provided. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calabasas, California. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.63 - $21.63/hr.
