24688BR Finance Assistant I/II Gatehouse Administration Center Description Performs a variety of responsible and paraprofessional accounting and finance duties required to maintain the complex financial records of the assigned organization. Qualifications Required Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or possession of a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) certificate, supplemented by coursework in finance or accounting. Two (2) years of experience in office and accounting, some at a level requiring independent judgment. Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience. Knowledge of general, paraprofessional accounting practices, business English, and modern office practices. Ability to reconcile financial accounting data and to spot and correct arithmetic or posting errors. Ability to operate a computer and related equipment to process, develop, analyze, and create data.
