24682BR Operating Engineer I (B) Rocky Run Middle School Description Provides technical maintenance and repair in middle schools for Fairfax County Public Schools' owned mechanical and electrical equipment with major responsibility for heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems. Qualifications Required Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or possession of a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) certificate. Two (2) years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Possession of an appropriate, valid motor vehicle operator's license with a good driving record. Knowledge of HVAC operating systems equipment, tools, and procedures used in the operation, maintenance, and repair. Mechanical ability. Ability to inspect, diagnose problems, and make repairs or requests to appropriate mechanics to perform the repairs. Ability to maintain logs and write reports.
