The Citrix Senior Principal Solutions Architect is pivotal in designing and implementing Citrix solutions that drive our client's business transformation. Day-to-day, the successful candidate will assess business requirements, design Citrix/NetScaler architectures, provide guidance on best practices, prescribe execution plans, communicate and influence senior executive leadership regarding matters of strategic importance to the organization in a thought leadership role. The ideal candidate is passionate about bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring optimal alignment between people, process and technology to desired business outcomes.

About This Team

The Citrix Solutions Architecture team is part of the Citrix business unit within Cloud Software Group. Citrix Solutions Architects provide expert guidance to an aligned set of customers, helping them leverage Citrix technology to create value. Travel is a required part of the role (up to 50%), and we offer a flexible work environment, allowing you to balance professional commitments with personal life.

Responsibilities

As part of the role, a Citrix Solutions Architect will need to:


  • Design and implement Citrix solutions tailored to client requirements.

  • Engage with stakeholders to assess business needs and recommend suitable Citrix architectures.

  • Provide technical thought leadership within the organization.

  • Collaborate with account teams to provide technical expertise during client engagements.

  • Develop strategies to improve and optimize existing Citrix deployments.

  • Ensure client solutions comply with external regulatory and security standards.

  • Identify potential risks in implementations and design mitigation strategies to address these challenges.

  • Work closely with the security and infrastructure teams to ensure that Citrix solutions are both secure and efficiently integrated within the larger IT environment.

  • Scale lessons learned and leading practices through collaboration with enablement counterparts.

  • Extensively analyzes problems to seek understanding of the root cause of the problem.

  • Collaborate with and provide mastery level knowledge to product and engineering teams.

  • Provides measurable input into new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans.

  • Frequently provide guidance, coaching, and training to other team members including cross functional teams within the area of expertise.

  • Lead small teams of resources in an effort to achieve customer and business objectives.

  • Identifies business area requirements and works with product leadership to define roadmap and enhancements to further production adoption.


Experience & Skills


  • Understanding of Citrix and competitive technologies.

  • Previous client-facing roles or consultative experience.

  • Proven track record of designing and implementing Citrix solutions.

  • Personal interest in cloud transformation and its impact on businesses.


  • Broad understanding of the following:



    • DaaS / VDI

    • Secure Access Transformation

    • Enterprise Browser

    • Enterprise Mobility Management

    • Networking

    • Enterprise Security

    • Observability



  • Mastery of cloud technologies and integrations.

  • Strong senior executive management skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communications and presentation skills.

  • Capable of understanding the business case and articulating the underlying technical solution.

  • Strong understanding of business processes and their implementation into enterprise applications.

  • Ability to work in and successfully navigate largely complex and matrixed organizations.

  • Ability to work independently and in a strong team environment, and to deliver on detail as well as strategy.

  • Ability to travel within assigned territory.

  • Innovative, business minded, and design driven.


Requirements (Education, Certification, Training, and Experience)


  • Active US Top Secret security clearance is required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

  • Masters degree is beneficial but not required

  • 15+ years of Sales Engineering and/or Consulting experience in high-tech, indirect sales, and procurement environments with a record of success in driving customer adoption of technology with at least 7+ years covering US Federal and Department of Defense customers

  • 7+ years of experience in SaaS or PaaS

  • Ability to travel within assigned territory

  • Ability to work in and successfully navigate largely complex and matrixed organizations


  • The following certifications are beneficial but not required:



    • Citrix Certified Expert Virtualization (CCE-V), Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Service on Citrix Cloud Certified (CC-VAD-CC), Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Service Integration with Microsoft Azure Certified (CC-VAD-MA) or Virtual Apps and Desktops Service Integration with Amazon Web Services Certified (CC-VAD-AWS)

    • Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator, or Azure Solutions Architect

    • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional

    • Google Associate Cloud Engineer

    • Updated Security Certifications




Compensation may vary depending on your location, qualifications including job-related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of these ranges. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus, and sales incentives depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role as well as individual performance.
