Position Summary:
Travere Therapeutics is seeking a visionary and strategic Director, Rare Kidney Disease (RKD) Educators, to lead and grow a team of field-based educators focused on advancing patient and provider education within underserved communities impacted by Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and IgA Nephropathy (IgAN). This leader will oversee the development, deployment, and execution of education strategies designed to increase disease awareness, drive patient empowerment, and improve care access. The Director will work closely with Commercial, Patient Advocacy, Access, and Medical Affairs teams to ensure alignment with Travere's broader mission and values.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Strategy
* Recruit, onboard, coach, and lead a high-performing team of RKD Educators.
* Develop strategic plans for educator deployment, engagement models, and priority community initiatives.
* Create and manage team performance metrics and KPIs aligned with corporate goals.
* Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and community connection.

Cross-Functional Alignment
* Partner with Commercial, Patient Advocacy, Market Access, and Medical Affairs leadership to align educational activities with business priorities.
* Ensure integration of RKD Educator insights into broader strategic planning.
* Serve as a champion for community and patient needs across internal stakeholder groups.

Program Development & Execution
* Oversee the development of educational tools, programs, and resources for both patients and healthcare providers.
* Identify national, regional, and community-based opportunities to enhance disease awareness and patient empowerment.
* Maintain strategic partnerships with key advocacy groups, community organizations, and healthcare networks.

Insight Generation and Field Feedback
* Collect and synthesize field insights related to barriers to care, patient needs, and educational gaps.
* Translate field insights into actionable recommendations for internal stakeholders.
* Support continuous refinement of strategy based on real-world feedback and evolving landscape.

Required:

* RN, NP/PA, PharmD, MPH, or similar healthcare or public health credential preferred.
* 8+ years of healthcare, pharmaceutical, or patient advocacy leadership experience, including 3+ years in a management or field leadership role.
* Proven history of building and leading successful field education, patient support, or outreach teams.
* Deep understanding of community health, health disparities, and culturally competent engagement models.
* Experience in nephrology, rare diseases, or chronic disease management preferred.
* Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
* Understanding of cultural humility and health disparities.

Additional Skills/Experience/Requirements:
* The ideal candidate will embody Travere's core values: Courage, Community Spirit, Patient Focus and Teamwork.
* Experience in nephrology, rare diseases, or community-based care
* Bilingual or multilingual capabilities preferred.
* Experience working with dialysis centers, nephrology practices, and/or rural healthcare systems.
* Well, organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage shifting responsibilities in a dynamic, cross-functional teamwork environment.
* Excellent collaboration skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and manage complexity.
* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
* Ability to adapt to modification and changes to project plans, demonstrating flexibility to implement new strategies and tactics to accommodate these changes.
* Ability to travel 40-60% domestically.
* The ability to perform face to face work with customers, colleagues and/or onsite in San Diego, and the ability to satisfactorily meet credentialling requirements for access to healthcare facilities and customer sites within your territory on an ongoing basis, are essential job functions of this position.

Compensation: Our competitive compensation package includes a combination of both cash compensation (base pay and short-term incentive) and long-term incentive compensation (company stock), designed to recognize, retain, and reward employees.

Target Base Pay Range:

$181,000.00 - $235,000.00
