Job Description:

Temporary Hire Supporting the SECAR Division

Responsibilities:
1: Develop, implement and continuously improve a forward leaning, engaging and responsive operational communications program with internal and external stakeholders and Red Cross Regions. Serve as the process owner on the implementation and deployment of the appropriate module to achieve desired objectives.
2: Create, identify, and facilitate information exchange opportunities with donors and partners, through system to system linkages. Develop and deploy RC View to build, improve, and sustain relations, service delivery planning, and enable donors, partners, and the public to gain a better understanding of the Red Cross operational environment. Provide leadership support and guidance to regions, divisions, and national disaster relief operations in employing RC View consistent with priorities and leadership intent for stakeholder engagement.
3: Provide and oversee the provision of content requirements to RC View developers focused on externally facing RC View modules. Develop opportunities to use RC View to improve public and client satisfaction with Red Cross disaster services. Support Developers, Planners, Technicians, and Analysts engaged in the identification, development, creation, delivery, and continuous improvement of externally facing RC View content.
4: Work closely with other key senior leaders and business units to meet specific goals and objectives. Serve as the business unit liaison in supporting strategic messaging to the public, donors, partners, and Red Cross Regions.
5: Develop and support volunteers who are the primary workforce. Engage volunteers as equal team members with specific responsibilities as part of their work.
6: Support large-scale relief operations activities when required.

Scope: Individual contributor and acknowledged expert both within the organization as well as within other organizations. Participate in industry/knowledge reference groups. Mastery of a specialized discipline and thorough understanding of a number of disciplines. May also require development of new solutions for complex projects.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Management Experience: n/a
Skills & Abilities: Proven track record of collaboration, facilitation, problem solving, strategic management, leadership, partnership management. Ability for planning, public speaking, data analysis, project management, organizational development, and process improvement. Must be customer oriented, organized, and able to operate with an external and strategic focus. Ability to work on a team.
Travel: Travel may be required.

* Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description's minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environment will consist of moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and printers, light traffic). The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
