The College of Arts and Sciences seeks a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Analyst to support ongoing reporting, process evaluation, and financial improvement initiatives. This part-time position is ideal for a skilled professional looking to contribute expertise in a flexible role. |
Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit |
The College of Arts & Sciences Business Operations Office includes Dean's Office teams for both finance and human resources, as well as a shared services team to provide support for individual units' finance and human resources needs. These teams have been created to provide a high level of service to the College of Arts & Sciences while increasing operational efficiency, effectiveness and communication. |
Position Summary |
Develop and refine financial reports to support college leadership, analyze and assess existing financial processes for effectiveness and efficiency, recommend and help implement improvements to financial operations and reporting workflows and collaborate with finance and administrative teams to identify and address process gaps. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Bachelor's degree in accounting, banking, finance, business administration, economics, or related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Professional financial experience, strong analytical, and problem-solving, and communication skills. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Professional financial experience, preferably in a higher education or nonprofit setting. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Tableau, SharePoint, or similar) preferred. |
