This position is responsible for providing quality assistance to the Mortgage Processing Department.
As a Mortgage Processing Assistant, you will:
- Appraisal Reviews- work with the appraisal ordering system (LenderX), the Collateral Underwriters (Fannie/Freddie Mac) and appraisers to follow up on deliveries, corrections, and questions. Monitor emails and maintain a quick response time to keep appraisers up to date on bank needs.
- Order appraisals once disclosures have been sent to ensure accurate and quick turnaround.
- Prepare and send out appraisal payments.
- Assist processors, closers, and post closers with various requests such as payoff requests, employment verifications, homeowner's insurance, filing and preparing final documentation.
- Communicate loan file updates to lenders, processors, and loan closers.
- Uphold Nicolet's philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of services provided by Nicolet.

- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma required; Associate Degree in Administration or Finance related field of study preferred.
- 1 year of work in a professional setting; 1 to 3 years mortgage processing or underwriting experience preferred.
- Proficiency with computer, phone system, and general office equipment
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Teamwork skills are a necessity.
- Highly developed attention to detail
- Ability to work rapidly and accurately in fast-paced environment.
