Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for public health and emergency response? Join us as the Public Health Preparedness Program Manager and lead efforts that keep our community ready for anything-from pandemics to natural disasters. You'll manage planning, training, partnerships, and staff, while playing a key role in emergency operations.

What You'll Do:

• Oversee all aspects of the Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) Program

• Lead emergency planning and response efforts across local, state, and federal partners

• Supervise and support preparedness team members

• Develop and evaluate emergency drills and training programs

• Ensure readiness through planning, coordination, and grant compliance

• Represent Jackson County in regional planning and response efforts

• Be on-call 24/7 for emergencies and take part in the Incident Command System

• Maintain confidentiality and follow all HIPAA and compliance regulations

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in public health, nursing, epidemiology, or related field

• 3+ years in public health or emergency management, including at least 1 year in a leadership role

• Valid driver's license (per Fleet Safety Policy, if driving is required)

Bonus Points For:

• Master's degree in public health, emergency management, or a related field
