In this pivotal role, you'll oversee the preconstruction of large-scale multifamily developments - from visionary concept through groundbreaking execution. You'll lead all preconstruction activities for market-rate and build-to-rent communities, ensuring each project meets the highest standards of quality, schedule, and budget.
As a key member of our leadership team, you'll mentor and develop top-tier talent, while driving collaboration with professional consultants and contractors to bring each community to life. Your expertise will guide critical decisions that shape the success of our developments and the future of our portfolio.
You'll report directly to the Vice President of Construction, working alongside some of the industry's most passionate and forward-thinking professionals who are redefining what exceptional living looks like.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Drive Every Detail of Success: Lead all preconstruction activities - from early cost modeling and risk/reward analysis to setting the stage for flawless project execution.

- Champion Excellence in Partnerships: Lead the vetting and selection of top-tier General Contractors and Architects who share our commitment to quality and innovation.
- Set the Standard for Performance: Exceed expectations in construction services, production, and quality. Where standards are undefined, you'll define them.
- Build Best-in-Class Systems: Establish and enforce project management practices that ensure consistency, precision, and excellence at every step.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve: Remain on the leading edge of construction methods, materials, and technology - continuously bringing forward new ideas that drive efficiency and impact.
- Lead the Charge for Innovation: Identify opportunities for evolution in process, technology, and design - then inspire teams to embrace and execute meaningful change.
Skills for Success:
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in construction or development, with a proven track record of leading teams to success.
- Expertise in multifamily or design-build project delivery.
- Deep understanding of all phases of preconstruction - including estimating, scheduling, risk management, budgeting, and client relations.

We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The posted salary range represents our good faith estimate of the base salary for this role at the time of posting. Final compensation is based on a variety of factors, including a candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. This range does not include bonus potential or other forms of compensation and benefits.
Salary Range: $132,000-$180,000
