The Manager, Energy Efficiency position pays beteen $108,640 to $135,800. Placement is based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate. The Manager of Energy Efficiency leads our team in responsiblities for the process of regulatory project management, including but not limited to developing, interpreting and communicating NMPRC tariffs and NMPRC rules and regulations, writing, organizing and preparing testimony and supporting schedules and/or exhibits. - Manages the Energy Efficiency ("EE") third-party program implementors and program coordinator to ensure programs performance and financial goals.
- Provides input on the development of strategic objectives and implements New Mexico Public Regulation Commission ("NMPRC") orders regarding approved EE programs and budgets of third-party implementors.
- Manages the development and utilization of the Cost Benefit Model to track energy efficiency utility cost test for reporting and testifying in NMPRC regulatory proceedings.
- Establishes performance metrics for Energy Efficiency programs, monitors performance of relative to participation, energy savings, and budget, making adjustments to program delivery as needed.
- Supports Energy Efficiency Regulatory filings, including compliance activity and application for three-year program approvals. As required, represents the Company position by testifying in regulatory and legislative proceedings.
- Conducts annual audits of third-party program implementors to ensure program funds are being properly administered and energy savings reported is accurate.
Successful Candidate Must Have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field
- A valid driver's License
- 3 years of supervisory experience.
- 7 years of related experience, including utility modeling, such as a rate design, cost of service, load/resouce or financial modeling, managing energy efficiency programs/projects, spreadsheet analysis, cost recovery mechanisms and/or working with NMPRC or other regulatory regulations and processes.
- Preferred: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics; Experience with rules and regulations of the NMPRC or other state utility commisions.
Working Conditions: Office environment. May be required to work overtime and weekends depending on business needs. Moderate travel required. Ability to stand or walk up to 1/3 of the time and regularly required to sit up to 2/3 of the time.
