New opportunity within Ameresco's PV Grid Tie Team for an experienced developer to help grow the Energy Storage team in the United States. This includes project development and pre-construction expertise to increase our operating portfolio as we expand the team in new geographies. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage an existing portfolio of energy storage projects through permitting, construction and operation in select US markets. This includes the following:
Create and implement a strategy to execute on the development of numerous storage assets both in front of the meter and behind the meter assets Manage an overall development budget for each project opportunity Hire and manage outside third-party consultants for each project Negotiate tolling agreements and other forms of offtake structures preferred by the customer. Oversee and direct internal personnel through project completion Assist the project finance team with document packages Assist with pre-construction activities when projects reach construction NTP
Be responsible for the P&L for each energy storage opportunity Become knowledgeable of proposed policy in new markets as well as changes to existing policy in developed markets. Work alongside the engineering, interconnection and design team to insure projects are being maximized for energy output. Keep abreast of new technology and costs within the storage market. Assist in the development of appropriate business plans as Ameresco enters into new markets Assist in the management of dynamic personnel in a fast-changing environment Make recommendations to management regarding opportunities to accelerate and maximize portfolio growth in the energy storage market. Develop financial proformas for opportunities in the portfolio. Work alongside the Asset Management team to review and understand performance for our operating projects. Perform other duties as required by your supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, related field or equivalent years of related experience in lieu of degree. Minimum 10 years of experience in the energy industry, financial markets and real estate development a plus. Knowledge of energy storage preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
P&L experience Proven business management strengths with ability to identify customer requirements, articulate solutions, and effectively advise management on project portfolio. Strong verbal, written, computer communication and technical presentation skills. Strong knowledge of financing structures for solar and storage assets. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and positive business relationships.
