Overview

The Regional International Operations Agent is responsible for coordinating the day to day import/export of international freight forwarding shipments into and out of the USA across all modes of international transportation based upon customer requests. They will support multiple stations to increase productivity and deliver as expected to the client.


Responsibilities


    Work with customers to qualify their shipping requirements and obtain all details (regulations, certificates, documentation) necessary for shipment quotation and operating in order to ensure the customer's request is satisfied

  • Work with multiple stations (and Station Managers) to support the execution of files in a timely manner to deliver the service required by the customer
  • Set shipping schedules, coordinate bookings with gateway personnel and communicate with customers regarding deliveries, clearance, etc. so they can advise their customers
  • Manage all aspects of tracking shipments to ensure shipment is moving as scheduled and update system immediately upon verification. Identify and rectify if a shipment has deviated from its schedule. Research, track, communicate and resolve delays, issues, etc.
  • Prepare, review, and execute quotes as outlined from the product team
  • Network with corresponding departments to ensure files are billed and posted prior to end of month
  • Ensure all KPI's and SOP guidelines are followed and met
  • Continuous learning through required compliance training and certifications of software and/or regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards


Qualifications

Education
* High School Diploma or GED (Required) and

* Some College/Associate's Degree (Preferred)

Experience
* 4+ years Experience in export/impot operations (Required) or

* 7+ years Experience as freight forwarder for international operations including: Basic IATA (Preferred)

* Ability to analyze numerical data and understand components, relationships, find patterns and draw conclusions Medium

Licenses and Certifications

* - Certified CargoWise Operator, CCO (Required)

* - Certified CargoWise Specialist, CCS (Preferred)
