Responsibilities

  • Performs clerical and clinical duties under the direction of a physician and or registered nurse.
  • Clerical duties may include answering phones, ordering supplies, and maintaining medical records.
  • Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs, collecting laboratory specimens to include point of care testing, obtaining patient medical histories, preparing patients for examination, and reviewing discharge instructions with patients and or their driver.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent)

  • Current or must be attained within three (3) months of hire.

  • Current BLS certification.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preference will be given to individuals with previous similar clinic experience

  • Previous job experience in delivering exceptional customer service

  • Competent use of personal computers and software programs, including Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

  • Previous experience with EMR systems.

  • One year of experience in a physician's practice setting.
