• Demonstrates understanding of Olympic Center policies regarding communication with members, guests and staff
• Compiles and organizes participant registration forms ensuring all participants are appropriately paid, registered and screened
• Arrives to class early and has necessary equipment prepared in advance
• Greets each participant entering the aquatics area with an enthusiastic attitude and ensures they get to know the individual by name
• Demonstrates understanding of providing safe, fun and professional swim instruction
• Presents a well planned, energetic, and educational swim class
• Monitors all participants ensuring lessons are productive and makes adjustments as necessary
• Provides support by assisting in maintaining the aquatics environment
• Promotes the facility's services and offerings to class participants
• Attends all regularly scheduled staff meetings and participates in required training

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED
• Current certification as a group fitness instructor or leader from a national fitness organization
• Aquatic Fitness Certification preferred
• CPR and AED certification within 90 days of employment

Preferred Requirements:

• American Red Cross Lifeguard certification
