Role Profile

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in designing, developing and optimizing enterprise-level application built on Microsoft technologies and backend relational database. Your experience in software architecture, performance profiling and debugging will be instrumental in delivering robust and scalable solutions.

Tech Profile/Essential Skills
  • Professional qualification or equivalent.
  • 8+ years' experience in Microsoft. NET framework.
  • Enthusiastic about designing and developing high-performance enterprise applications, bringing strong debugging skills to optimize mission-critical system.
  • Committed to building scalable and reliable software solutions, using advanced debugging techniques and profiling tools to maintain system integrity.
  • Passionate about solving software challenges, ensuring robust performance and stability in enterprise applications through debugging.
  • Experience in ASP.NET Services.
    • Memory issues debugging and optimization.
    • Performance profiling and optimization.
  • Experience in distributed web-services.
    • Scalability, durability, availability, caching, fault-tolerance.
  • Has experience in writing code with test drive development.
  • Stakeholder management experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Some experience of Business and Technical Analysis, Quality Assurance, delivery management, and / or Emerging Technology and Governance.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in relational DB and SQL query.
  • Preferable to have experience in Azure technologies.
  • Working experience with projects delivered with Agile Release methodology.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and Development : Architect and develop high-performance, scalable enterprise applications.
  • Performance Optimization: Conduct advanced performance profiling and tuning to ensure optimal application efficiency.
  • Debugging and Troubleshooting: Analyze complex issues, debug critical errors, and resolve software defects with precision.
  • Code Quality & Best Practices: Implement industry-leading coding standards, maintain high code quality, and conduct peer reviews.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to technical discussions and decision-making.
  • Technology Exploration: Stay up to date with the latest technological advancements and recommend innovative solutions to improve application capabilities.
Detailed Responsibilities
  • Working with different teams delivering across multiple Sprints engaging with existing contractor teams located in Europe and India/Bengaluru.
  • Development, test and release of new features as part of a team.
  • Providing technical support for production system.
  • Contributes to the creation of solutions for Epics and the associated implementation tasks.
  • Builds positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, growing own network and collaborating with other teams. Communicates complex / technical information clearly and concisely in an audience appropriate format.
  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge of technologies, advising others on design, development and implementation.
  • Advances tools and applications by code reviewing others' code when required.
  • Develops knowledge and expertise in software development and develops knowledge of other domains to understand linkages and dependencies.
  • Builds understanding of strategy and culture, and how they impact own work.
  • Oversees the design work and planning for user stories ensuring the desired objectives.
  • Adapts existing patterns to develop robust solutions.
  • Develops understanding of LSEG's commercial direction and how technology is a part of this.
  • Completes the delivery of given tasks with some guidance and oversight.
  • Takes a proactive approach to invest time in learning and development of technology products for self and the team.
  • Manages own workload and promotes an inclusive and open culture
  • Leads design work and planning for user stories
  • Communicates with clarity and precision in a concise format

Compensation/Benefits Information:

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $97,200 - $162,200. Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/"bonus plan"). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
