Function:

Information Technology Job Summary:The Manager of Process Data Systems is responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining the cybersecurity of our Distributed Control Systems (DCS) along with the Historian software. The technology products include PI, Forescout, Plant State Integrity and BeyondTrust. The incumbent has accountability for the performance and results of several teams that work on the large and strategically important function of Process Control and Operational Technologies. The incumbent serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization. The incumbent maintains an understanding of the business and acts as a trusted advisor by being the primary point of contact for Process Engineering, and Plant Accountants having responsibility for daily production and inventory reporting. This position is viewed as a subject matter expert on Operational Technology (OT), Networks and DCS systems. Job Description:

Major Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning

  • Collaborates with Vendors to understand current product offerings and future direction of OT networks and cyber-securing them.
  • Represents the perspective of Process Technology as part of a collaborative team of IT Managers when developing the strategic direction for IT
  • Brings a current knowledge and future vision of OT Historians, Open Platform Communications (OPC) and Cisco networking as related to the Company's business initiatives.
  • Collaborates with all IT Managers and Directors to ensure strategies address the needs of all IT Product Teams and enable seamless, cross-vertical interoperability.
  • Assesses CF business strategy, long-term enterprise-wide technology needs, and develops an appropriate Plant Process Data strategy.
  • Defines a multi-year project roadmap for achieving the strategy, including budget and resource requirements.
  • Leads a Governance Council of business (or IT) leaders to define and approve the DCS Operating Staandards sand future project roadmap.

Information Systems Development, Implementation & Support

  • Directs the support of existing systems, ensures that operational problems are solved in a timely fashion and that the technology performance levels meet or exceed the users' business requirements
  • Directs and coordinates the planning and implementation, including all phases of system design, configuration, programming, installation and operations for Process Data Systems.
  • Ensures IT project management practices are followed to include: project management, portfolio management prioritization, enterprise architecture and quality assurance processes.
  • Ensures project deadlines and budget are met.
  • Sets policies and procedures, technical standards, methods, and priorities.

Organization, Administration and Personnel Management

  • Assess, develops, retains, and recruits IT talent that will support the ongoing needs of the business.
  • Manages and assigns personnel; devises and evaluates the staff's work; and prepares performance evaluations.
  • Coaches and mentors subordinates, identifies training needs and recommends development programs.
  • Reviews and negotiates software license agreements and contracts with vendors and maintains business relationships with strategic suppliers.
  • Defines department budget for future year and tracks performance to budget for current year.

Incumbent Attributes:

Education (reference JLA):

BS/BA in a related field or equivalent experience typically required to complete all essential job functions.

Years of experience (reference JLA):

At least 5 years of related professional experience is typically required to complete all essential job functions. Prior experience supervising staff is required.

Other unique job relevant attributes:

  • Past experience with responsibility for PI Historian, DCS and OT.
  • Ensures large projects are on-budget
  • Collaborates with business leaders to define and execute strategy for technology
  • Collaborates with IT Directors to set strategy for Horizontal technology
