Portfolio Manager

Portfolio Manager – (job location is New York, NY; employer is Walleye Capital LLC) – Conduct research on publicly traded companies to generate trading ideas. Maintain and update financial models. Conduct micro and macro-economic research. Build quantitative trading models. Oversee portfolio risk management and construction. Provide market color relating to index rebalances to senior management. Use data platforms such as Bloomberg and FactSet to conduct time-series analysis. Back test trading strategies to enhance portfolio performance. Execute equity trades using best execution practices. Maintain relationships with trading counterparties. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or in a related role. All required experience must have included experience with: performing portfolio and risk management of a long/short equity portfolio using an event-driven / ECM strategy; developing and executing investment strategy; managing micro- and macro-economic research on index trading flows; performing quantitative modeling of supply/demand; performing financial modeling of market patterns; conducting financial research and analysis of U.S. and Canadian listed companies; and utilizing data platforms Bloomberg and FactSet. This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our New York, NY office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location. Salary: $200,000/year.
