Data Scientist – (job location is New York, NY; employer is Grocery Delivery E-Services USA Inc. d/b/a HelloFresh) - Implement data governance practices to ensure data quality and accessibility across the organization. Create data visualizations and reports to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders and support decision-making. Develop and maintain critical data pipelines to ensure operational continuity. Analyze data to support other teams (procurement, merchandising, menu planning) with strategy definition. Create visualizations to measure forecasting models’ performance and detect model drift. Update and refine the ingredient-to-SKU reconciliation pipeline, ensuring high matching rates and accurate procurement KPIs. Collaborate with the procurement team to identify best marketplace strategies and opportunities to boost Average Order Value (AOV) and take rate (TR). Develop and update Streamlit dashboards to support other teams’ needs. Perform exploratory data analysis to identify potential areas for improvement and opportunities for current production models. Experiment and deploy new machine learning techniques and new forecasting methods to enhance the performance of existing models. Maintain and optimize forecasting pipelines for add-on sales across multiple brands, continuously monitoring and improving model performance. Ensure proper communication with stakeholders to integrate future business changes in existing models. Conduct code reviews. Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions with team members to maintain best coding practices in data science. Requirements: Master’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the position offered or in a related role. All of the required experience must have included experience with: building end-to-end machine learning workflows, from data preprocessing and feature engineering to model training, validation using Python; writing complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation and analysis; optimizing SQL queries for performance in large-scale relational databases; utilizing data science frameworks and packages such as Scikit-learn; building dashboards using data visualization tools such as Tableau; participating in collaborative coding projects using Github for code sharing; cloud platforms such as Databricks, Google Cloud, Azure, or AWS; applying statistical concepts and methods in Python; and working with production forecasting models/pipelines. This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our New York, NY office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location. Salary: $125,454/year.
