Our Environmental Intern will work in a safe, and team-oriented environment. Our work environment is an industrial setting that can be hot, humid, cold, dusty, and noisy, and may require working around oil chemicals and other substances. The Environmental Internship will perform professional work at multiple levels in support of the Environmental Department, the Plant, and Divisional/Corporate Environmental Programs. The individual will have the opportunity to experience evaluation, development, implementation, troubleshooting, and management of the facility's environmental compliance programs and systems. This role will assist in ensuring facility compliance with pertinent governmental regulations, such as state and federal air regulations, drinking water, storm water, wastewater, hazardous waste and to relative company policies and procedures such as Georgia Pacific's Environmental Compliance Standards. This role is designed for individuals who are seeking training, professional development/mentorship, and exposure to manufacturing operations. This role supports innovation, process efficiency, product and quality goals, with an emphasis on compliance, safety & health. What You Will Do
