The Role

The Senior Change Manager drives improvements across the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC), leading large-scale change initiatives, refining ways of working and preparing stakeholders to adopt changes. Supporting 1,300+ product and engineering employees across 100+ teams, the role fosters collaboration and alignment at scale. Success hinges on strong stakeholder engagement, trust-building, and empathy, enabling teams to continuously improve and adopt best practices.

The Senior Change Manager plays a pivotal role in enhancing Flexera's ability to deliver high-quality products efficiently while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability. By leading large-scale change management initiatives, optimizing processes, and driving stakeholder alignment, it ensures seamless product delivery aligned with business objectives.

The impact extends across 1,300+ product and engineering employees within 100+ teams, enabling them to work more effectively through refined ways of working, targeted training programs, and the adoption of best practices. With expertise in agile methodologies, stakeholder engagement, and operational excellence, the position strengthens organizational agility, minimizes inefficiencies, and drives sustainable growth.

Ultimately, this role empowers teams to navigate change successfully, enhances productivity, all while reinforcing a collaborative and adaptive product development environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize processes to ensure efficient, seamless product delivery aligned with business goals.

  • Lead change management efforts at scale, developing plans, assessing impacts, mitigating risks and preparing affected stakeholders.

  • Promote organizational agility by encouraging incremental delivery and iterative improvements across Product Delivery and Change initiatives.

  • Establish strong stakeholder relationships across all levels of the organization to drive alignment and support for change initiatives.

  • Coach teams and individuals on agile principles, fostering independence and growth.

  • Create and deliver training programs in collaboration with internal change champions.

  • Develop targeted communication strategies, champion best practices across the PDLC, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

  • Evaluate, implement and manage tools and systems (e.g., Jira, Aha) to enhance team productivity and knowledge sharing.

  • Maintain and improve ways of working documentation and knowledge-sharing systems for the product team.

  • Identify inefficiencies, address bottlenecks, and collaborate with leadership to implement sustainable solutions.

  • Track success metrics, refine initiatives based on insights, and ensure sustained adoption of change efforts.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Change Management Expertise: Knowledge of frameworks like ADKAR, Kotter's 8-Step Process, and Lean Change Model, with experience in change impact assessments and organizational agility initiatives.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships, ensuring alignment and support for change initiatives, combined with negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Coaching & Mentoring: Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean), coaching teams in adoption, and empowering them to work independently while fostering collaboration.

  • Communication & Advocacy: Effective communication skills to craft strategies that engage employees, develop targeted messaging, and present best practices across the Product Development Lifecycle. This includes delivering structured training programs and instructional development to ensure teams have the knowledge and skills needed to succeed, fostering continuous learning and professional growth.

  • Continuous Improvement & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify inefficiencies, implement solutions, and promote a culture of continuous improvement through Kaizen and similar methodologies.

  • Monitoring & Evaluation: Ability to track key metrics, assess the effectiveness of operational and change initiatives, and refine strategies to align with evolving business needs.

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field; certifications in Change Management (Prosci, CCMP) and Agile methodologies (CSM, CSPO, SAFe) are advantageous.

  • Professional Experience: Demonstrated success in process improvement, change management, product operations, and operational excellence, with a strong track record of delivering measurable business results.

  • Technical Competency: Proficiency in Product and Engineering Delivery tools (Jira, Confluence) and familiarity with data analytics platforms for performance tracking and success metrics.

  • Leadership & Collaboration: Proven ability to mentor and lead teams through change, drive collaboration across departments, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
