Sr. Merchandising Specialist

This intermediate level position is responsible for generating prototype requests and line specification sheets in the development of each seasonal product line, to assist the merchandising staff in producing each seasonal line, to complete various special projects, and to maintain various books, specification files, workrooms, etc.

The primary responsibilities of the Merchandising Specialist are to assist merchandising team with the global women's product line through systems, tools, and sample management. They will be responsible to help generate and utilize tools that support our briefing, assorting, and sample ordering processes in support of meeting or exceeding the overall corporate financial requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Data Management of Line Plans:Manages input and accuracy of all required global product information in respective systems in direct partnership with Design and Regional Merchant teams
• Assortment/Sketch Review Meetings:Attends meetings to help document and track all products within a seasonal assortment, as well as ensuring accuracy within tools across Design, PD, and Regional Merchants
• Samples: Supports Global Merch Team on sample organization and management in coordination with PD, Design, and Sourcing teams
• Product Knowledge: Learn product line knowledge as it relates to Lee business categories in order to begin showcasing product expertise
• Project Management: Support global merchandising team on portfolio of projects related to optimizing globalization efforts, processes, systems and tools

Leadership:

• Detail oriented and ability to manage large amounts of data
• Strong communication orally and written/story telling skills
• Global thinking & global integration (60% analytical/operational skills / 40% creative skills)
• Ability to work independently and drive solutions with key cross functional partners

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of retail experience preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Suite such as Excel and Power Point
• Bachelor's degree in Consumer Apparel and Retail Studies, Merchandising; or equivalent
