Job Summary

This position is the key customer contact to respond to customer requests, identify needs, create solutions, and ensure a smooth sales process to ensure alignment with Graniterock's Strategic Priorities and business objectives.

Essential Job Accountabilities

  1. Comply, understand, and promote safety initiatives to ensure "Safety Before All Else."
  2. Provide world class customer service while serving as the key customer contact to respond to customer requests, identify needs, create solutions, and ensure a smooth sales process.
  3. Utilize APEX to build a JPP (Job Production Plan) in XBE to ensure effective utilization of Graniterock trucks and subhaulers.
  4. Collect and pre-authorize customer credit card transactions to ensure a smooth transaction and timely payment from customers.
  5. Educate customers on Graniterock materials and trucking services to promote the Company and drive our business.
  6. Interact and act as the point person for inside and outside sales team members to ensure complete order information.
  7. Efficiently address customer and sales inquiries utilizing multiline phone system and email.

Education and Work Experience

* High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate's degree in business or related field desired

* Some related driving/construction/dispatch experience.

* 2-3 years logistics, dispatch or construction transportation experience preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to interface effectively with coworkers, management and customers.

  • Strong customer service, public speaking.

  • Ability to answer multiple phone calls on multiple lines

  • General knowledge of aggregates and trucking

  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently, as well as part of a team.

  • Ability to work in high production environment and respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines.

  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • General understanding of construction site and truck safety requirements.

  • Must be able to work weekends and overtime.

    Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
