Position Type: Full-Time, Contingent upon Contract Award

Target Start: Summer/Fall 2025

Overview:

IS4S is seeking experienced and forward-thinking engineers to support Rapid Capability Prototyping Development. This exciting opportunity focuses on bridging advanced intelligence community capabilities with Department of Defense (DoD) operational requirements to deliver rapid, cost-effective, and innovative solutions for the warfighter.

This position is contingent upon contract award and is primarily located in Colorado Springs, CO, with additional opportunities in Albuquerque, NM.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Engineer with the desire and capability to grow into a project management role. The selected candidate will lead and contribute to program and project management as well as lead and contribute to the design, development, prototyping, testing, and analysis of next-generation capabilities in the AF Battle Management Command and Control (BMC3) and Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) domains, with a specific focus on space-centric mission areas such as Golden Dome and multi-domain C5ISR.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Lead engineering activities across the development lifecycle: concept, design, prototyping, testing, and integration.





  • Support the delivery of innovative solutions spanning Navigation Science, data fusion, cyberspace operations, sensor technologies, and more.





  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet rapid prototyping and fielding timelines.





  • Utilize tools and methodologies such as Digital Engineering (DE), Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and JIRA/Confluence or equivalent platforms.





  • Interface with USAF stakeholders to align technical deliverables with mission needs.





  • Provide leadership in both a technical aspect and a project management aspect.





Required Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field;





  • Minimum 10 years of relevant engineering experience, ideally within a DoD or USAF environment.





  • Strong understanding and experience in one or more of the following: DE, MBSE, JIRA/Confluence, systems integration, space and C5ISR systems.





  • Active Secret clearance required





Skill Areas:




  • Demonstrated experience in supporting USAF programs





  • Prior military service, especially Air Force, is highly desirable.





  • Rapid Prototyping





  • Software Engineering & Testing





  • RF, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Geospatial Engineering





  • Data Science / AI / ML /Data Lakes





  • Cybersecurity & Cyber Engineering





  • Logistics, Technical Writing, and Training





Preferred:




  • TS/SCI strongly preferred.





  • Master's degree preferred.





  • Knowledge of BMC3/JADC2/Golden Dome/NC3
