Sanitation Supervisor

Echo Lake Foods is a growing organization, seeking an experienced Sanitation Supervisor to join our team. This position requires a knowledgeable and professional individual who works well with all types of employees.

Main Responsibilities Include:

*Direct sanitation activities during planned sanitations at the plant.

*Provide guidance for all sanitation related activities.

*Complete Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) activities during the specified time periods.

*Assist QA Manager in maintaining plant cleanliness and hygiene.

*Continually examine and review plant sanitation processes in order to identify and remove potential areas of concern to food safety and quality as well as to continuously improve.

*Assist in the development of standard sanitation operating procedures (SSOPS) and implement them to improve food safety and other areas related to plant sanitation, quality and operations.

*Assist QA Manager in overseeing the plant Sanitation programs and make recommendations for improvements.

These job requirements are the major Sanitation Supervisor's responsibilities, however other duties pertaining to the Sanitation programs, Food Safety and Quality Assurance at the plant may be modified as appropriate.

Minimum Experience and Education Requirements:

*Must be a High School graduate or higher level of education.

*Must have at least 1 year of Sanitation experience in a food plant.

*Experience in interacting and managing sanitation personnel in a food plant, preferred but not mandatory

*Good communication skills.

*Good analytical and math skills.

*Knowledge of food plant sanitation programs and processes

*Knowledge of food plant sanitation chemicals, safety and SSOPs

*Bilingual (Spanish) preferred, but not mandatory

*HACCP certified, preferred but not mandatory (will train if needed)

*PCQI certified, preferred but not mandatory (will train if needed)

*SQF certified, preferred but not mandatory (will train if needed)

Abilities Required:

*Must be physically able to walk throughout all plant areas and climb ladders and step stools as required.

*Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs.

*Visual and sensory acuity in order to detect food safety and quality variations/issues in food products.
