We are currently seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our team! You will play a critical role in ensuring tax compliance, managing tax provisions, and supporting strategic tax initiatives. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Position Responsibilities:



  • Works on priority projects in both the tax accounting and tax compliance areas.
  • You will assist with the preparation of the US GAAP quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes).
  • Supports finance in preparation of tax footnote in accordance with SEC standards.
  • You will assist with the calculation of quarterly US federal & state estimates and extensions.
  • Review annual income tax returns, including gathering, analyzing, and providing data to tax return preparer.
  • You will look at ad hoc tax queries from the business in relation to US federal and state corporate income tax and indirect taxes (i.e., sales and use, withholding taxes).
  • You will assist with the preparation and submission of US sales and use tax returns as well as keeping track of exemption certificates.
  • Monitoring tax and audit compliance deadlines (filing and payment dates for several jurisdictions).
  • Research and analyze tax laws and regulations (federal, state, and international) to ensure compliance and identify tax planning opportunities.
  • Assist the Tax Manager/Director with tax planning strategies, including those related to R&D tax credits, international tax structures, mergers and acquisitions, and other business initiatives.
  • Assist with filing US annual reports.
  • Responds to notices from various tax authorities, under supervision.
  • Support federal, state, and international tax audits by compiling requested documentation, researching issues, and drafting responses to Information Document Requests (IDRs).
  • Works across different functions and levels within the organization.



Position Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate tax, with a significant portion dedicated to tax accounting (ASC 740) and compliance at a Big 4 accounting firm.
  • Strong tax accounting knowledge of US GAAP with a strong emphasis on ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes).
  • Solid understanding of federal, state, and international income tax laws and regulations, including corporate tax, and specific tax issues relevant to the technology sector (e.g., R&D credits, IRC Section 174 amortization, GILTI, FDII).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables, Index Match and complex formulas for data analysis, modeling, and tax calculation support.
  • Knowledge of tax software desirable (ideally including knowledge around OneSource Tax Provision Software).
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) for extracting financial data and understanding general ledger structures.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also being a strong team player.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex tax concepts clearly and concisely to both tax and non-tax personnel, including senior management.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify, analyze, and resolve complex tax issues, often with incomplete information.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new tax laws, regulations, and software specific to a rapidly evolving software industry.
