Senior Project Manager

Job Description/Tasks/Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of project management professionals.
  • Oversee the execution of planned maintenance activities of plant and project equipment.
  • Scheduling: Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Readiness for Work: Ensure all work activities are planned, authorized, and coordinated according to safety protocols and project requirements.
  • Change Management: Implement and oversee change management processes to address project modifications and ensure all changes are documented and approved.
  • Oversight of Project Managers: Provide guidance and support to project managers, ensuring alignment with project goals and adherence to standards.
  • Work Control: Manage work control processes to ensure that all tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Problem Solving: Identify, analyze, and resolve challenges that arise during the decommissioning process to maintain project continuity.
  • Builds high performing teams through personal engagement, collaboration, and coaching.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, contractors, and team members.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Works in multi-discipline teams on project-based work and ensures integration of design across multiple disciplines.
  • Works on a timeline, ensuring the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of work and initiates corrective measures to overcome delays.
  • Understands, complies and is responsible for working to environmental health and safety policies and procedures, and attends meetings as required.
  • Relies on experience and judgment.
  • Works under limited supervision.
  • Significant creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements/Skills

  • Strong written and varbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • Intermediate knowledge of industry codes and regulations


Physical/Mental Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Ability to carry up to 15 pounds; handle and reach below shoulder
  • Ability to use hands to accomplish tasks as assigned
  • Ability to effectively communicate; pass audiogram in hearing conservation program as required by location
  • Ability to see close and distance and basic colors/shades
  • Ability to work alone, interact with the public, and perform under deadline pressure
  • Ability to work outdoor and indoor activities under various conditions


Minimum Education, Experience and Certification Requirements
Education

  • Bachelor's degree in technical or science area or equivalent

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years experience

Preferred Experience

  • Previous Construction, demolition, or Nuclear Power Plant Experience
