Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic General Manager of Facilities Operations to lead and manage our Facilities Division. The successful candidate will be part of the corporate senior leadership team (SLT) and will interface with senior executives to develop and execute the organization's facilities strategies. The candidate is also part of the Enterprise Services Leadership team ensuring facilities requirements are integrated with all other Enterprise Services. This role is responsible for providing overall leadership to various departments including Facilities Planning, Engineering & Design, Construction, Fleet Management, Property Management, Shipping/Receiving, Warehousing, Stores, Commuter Services, Building Maintenance, and numerous vendor-contracted services.

Work Model

This is full-time onsite position based in El Segundo, CA or Chantilly, VA, which requires 100% onsite work.

What You'll Be Doing

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Develop and direct facilities strategies and initiatives.
  • Lead strategic planning activities and ensure alignment with the Corporate Strategic Plan.
  • Active Participant in Enterprise Services Leadership Team efforts.
  • Manage relationships with senior leaders and external stakeholders.

Strategic Facilities Development and Services:

  • Develop and maintain a Facilities Master Plan
  • Oversee Facilities Development and Services Directorates, ensuring support levels meet corporate needs and customer requirements including campus planning, design, and construction initiatives.
  • Ensure high reliability of operational facilities and critical infrastructure.
  • Develop long-term strategic plans: conduct facility condition assessments, create strategic and master plans for facilities, develop and maintain long-range maintenance action plans (MAP) and capital improvement plans (CIP)

Operational Excellence:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and ordinances.
  • Maintain standards on energy management and environmental stewardship.
  • Benchmark against external organizations to ensure high-impact, cost-effective services and materials.
  • Manage real estate capital portfolio, including acquisitions and leases.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and oversee execution of capital and operating budgets
  • Pinpoint opportunities to reduce costs while enhancing operational efficiencies
  • Operate disciplined, cost-effective procurement processes in collaboration with the CFO organization.

Team Leadership:

  • Foster leadership, mentorship, and professional growth within the team.
  • Identify and prepare talent for new and enriching experiences.

What You Need to be Successful - General Manager of Facilities Operations

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of ten years of facilities management or related experience.
  • Experience in operations, policy development, and implementing new strategies.
  • Extensive knowledge of logistics management and vendor management.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to campus and leased sites.
  • This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

We offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$240,000 - $275,000 Pay Basis: Annual
