Who we are looking for:
The Treasurer has the ultimate responsibility for the organization's treasury functions reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. Responsibilities include market risk, funding, liquidity, interest rate management, asset liability committee, cash flow management, stress testing, hedging, and bank investment securities activities.

What you'll do:



  • Responsible for aligning treasury departmental strategy or direction with the overall goals of the organization
  • Monitors market and interest rate risk profile of the organization, providing guidance and recommendations on strategy
  • Conduct regular liquidity and interest rate stress testing to ensure the safety and soundness of the organization
  • Develops and executes strategies that ensure liquid funds are available for current capital needs
  • Develops long-term cash management or investment plans that both preserve capital and support strategic goals
  • Prepare regulatory capital analysis, liquidity, and risk-weighted asset reports forthe CFO and board of directors
  • Manage the bank's policies governing organizational debt and credit levels, interest rate or currency risk, investment and banking relationships
  • Oversee the bank's asset liability management modeling for the ALCO committee and actively monitor interest rate risk exposure
  • Ensures that all treasury-related activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements and board policies
  • Support bankers and relationship managers in the growth and development of the organization's businesses
  • Contribute to the development of financial reports, internal management, and regulatory filings
  • Develops policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization
  • Coordination of portfolio advisors; manage the bank's investment portfolio and oversee pledging and collateral operations to support public funds depositors
  • Serve as the team lead in treasury and accounting efforts supporting the bank's commodity hedging activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned


What you'll need to be successful:

Success in this job relies on your time management skills, organization, and positive attitude. In addition, you'll need the following qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in one of the Accounting related disciplines; Master's degree is preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in a Treasury Department within the banking and mortgage industry
  • Minimum 4 years of experience within a Management or Supervisory role
  • Experience with credit functions, funding requirements, and accounting background preferred
  • CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) a plus
  • Effective verbal and written communicator
  • Must be well organized with strong attention to detail
  • High degree of personal ethics/integrity
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Must be able to recognize inefficiencies and recommend/implement process/quality improvement initiatives
