Software Project Manager (Product Team) - Remote

IEM is looking for a Full Time - Software Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and guiding our software product team, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives. You will leverage your expertise in project management and your knowledge of low-code, open-source platforms, and SaaS product development to enhance our processes.

Primary Location:



  • Candidates can originate from anywhere in the United States.
  • Candidates will work from home or personal office location.


Essential Functions:



  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple software products, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Define project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of SaaS products, from ideation through launch and ongoing maintenance. Prioritize feature development and ensure alignment with market needs and company strategy.
  • Manage projects consistent with the Agile methodology for open-source and low-code development with cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring seamless integration and operation of SaaS products on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Facilitate communication between the product team and stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure alignment with business goals. Assist with updates to product roadmaps and schedules.
  • Coordinate with resource managers to ensure project teams have the necessary resources, skills, and equipment. Optimize resource allocation and resolve conflicts to maintain project momentum.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the project management lifecycle. Implement best practices and methodologies to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues. Develop mitigation strategies and lead problem-solving efforts to minimize impact on project outcomes.
  • Ensure deliverables meet the highest quality standards. Oversee the development and implementation of quality control processes and testing strategies. Ensure processes and policies are adhered to amongst the team.
  • Prepare and lead the team through CMMI, SOC, and ISO type audits. Ensure that all processes and documentation are compliant with industry standards and audit requirements.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technologies to recommend and implement new tools and practices.

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience: Seven (7) or more years of experience in software project management, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex software projects.
  • Degree and Experience Substitution: An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to effectively perform the duties and functions of this position may be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting the auditing effort in CMMI, SOC, and ISO audits. Familiarity with the standards and practices required for successful compliance.
  • Proven experience in managing scrum SaaS product development projects according to Agile. Familiarity with the challenges and best practices associated with SaaS environments.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams is essential.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Certification such as PMP, Scrum Master, or similar.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Solid understanding of cloud computing, microservices architecture, API management, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for SaaS applications.
  • Certifications related to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Certification) can be beneficial, showcasing expertise in cloud-based SaaS environments.


Additional Location and Travel Information:



  • Remote Work: All remote work environments require the ability to maintain minimum Internet speeds of 25 Mbps upload and 3 Mbps download, as well as a ping rate of 100 ms or less during working hours, regardless of the type and number of devices using your Internet connection. You must also have account privileges and access to your Internet service provider account during working hours for the purposes of maintaining the Internet connection, if needed.
  • Travel Requirements: This position may require travel (up to 10% of the time) to complete work assignments or attend meetings.
