Who You Are: You are a skilled engineering professional with a vision for integrating product development and manufacturing processes to optimize functionality in the market. You thrive in fast-paced environments, demonstrating strong communication and analytical skills. You are adept at identifying multiple solutions to complex challenges, fostering collaboration, and driving results with a proactive mindset. What You Will Be Doing: Partner with various stakeholders and teams to create new products Provide support through the creation of engineering drawings, tolerance analysis, free body diagrams, participate in material selection, and analyze various product components Prototyping and analysis Engaging with different functions - connecting with people Experience working with mechanisms and associated kinematics Design and revise plastic, aluminum, die casting, sheet metal, and upholstery CAD files using Creo software Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience Experience in the engineering approval of parts for production (ISIR/PPAPs) Experience performing and understanding DFMEA/PFMEAs Experience creating and defining performance requirements on engineering drawings Strong understanding of tolerance analysis Desired Skills and Experience: Experience developing seating Prior experience in furniture industry or working with textiles/upholstery/veneer/laments or related materials Proficiency in Creo and/or Windchill Ability to use various methods and techniques in solving technical problems Ability to apply mechanical engineering principles and knowledge of material science, manufacturing processes, and tools in product engineering Who We Are: Steelcase is a global design and thought leader in the world of work.
