Job Description

Torch Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Engineerto support the Airborne Warning and Control Systems (AWACS) program office, which is within the USAF Digital Directorate at Tinker AFB, OK.

This position requires a highly motivated individual with Logistics Management experience to include, but not limited to:



  • Performs and coordinates detailed analyses to ensure the integration of support considerations into the design process.
  • Responsible for complex components of programs.
  • Evaluates design concepts to determine if concepts satisfy support requirements and the relative supportability of alternative concepts.
  • Identify the specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support the program; and correlating those requirements with program plans to assure that the needed support is provided at the right time and place
  • Considered as a resource for resolution of unique or complex problems
  • Develops logistics plans in order to enhance distribution of goods and supplies.
  • Analyzes, organizes, plans and administers various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, or maintenance/repair activities for one or more highly complex programs. Analyzes complex contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements
  • Participate in the development of maintenance and life cycle logistics plans to ensure smooth product transition to air logistics complex centers
  • Develop and executes logistics and sustainment plans
  • Assist with planning, evaluation and implementation of program acquisition and sustainment strategies to meet DoD 5000.2 guidance
  • Develop program management documentation to support all phases of the acquisition and sustainment life cycle

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and at least 10years of experience in a similar technical / professional discipline being performed OR
  • High school diploma and 16 years of related technical experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with the acquisition lifecycle and product support planning during each phase or milestone.
  • Experience with the DoD integrated product support element structure and experience in a hands-on technical discipline is required.
  • Broad knowledge of the organization and functions of activities involved in providing logistical support.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have an active US Secret security clearance
